1. Issue Desription
After turning on the motherboard Power Switch, the product will run on its own even if you didn't create program instructions or used the Makeblock App to control it.
2. Possible Causes
- There was program uploaded to the machine before, which contained related commands about running the motor after powering on, causing the product to move automatically after turning on.
- It could be caused by the switch of assembly form. For example, you have assembled Robotic Arm Tank form, and before that, you have assembled other forms of Ultimate 2.0 to run(e.g. Detecting Robot). At this point, although the hardware part (assembly form) has switched over, the software part (motherboard firmware) has not yet successfully switched from the other form to the current Robotic Arm Tank due to the existence of the motherboard memory function.
3. Troubleshooting Steps
- If the firmware has not been updated after this problem occurs, you can refer to the article "How to Update Firmware for MegaPi" to refresh it, and it won't be affected by the previous program.
- By manually selecting the robot mode (according to the actual form), we can switch the firmware of the mainboard from another form to the current form. The specific steps are as follows.
(1)Open the machine's Power Switch and Makeblock App and connect the two via Bluetooth.
(2)Assuming that the product is assembled in the form of Robotic Arm Tank, enter the “Play” section of Makeblock APP and select the function page of that bulding form. If the product is built in another form, select the page for the corresponding form.
(3)After entering this mode, just click Manual at the top and then run the machine for seconds with the direction switch key.
