Use AI Camera 2.0 with CyberPi

1. Connect to CyberPi

Connect CyberPi with AI Camera 2.0 using the mBuild cable included in the package.

2. Upgrade the CyberPi firmware

Web version

  1. Open the mBlock software and add CyberPi from the device library.
  2. In the lower-left corner of mBlock, select Settings > Firmware Update. Make sure that the firmware version is 44.01.014 or above.

PC version

  1. Download the mBlock software at https://mblock.cc/pages/downloads.
  2. Open the mBlock PC version (recommended version: 5.6.0).
  3. Find CyberPi from Devices and click the upgrade icon in its upper-right corner.

After the upgrade, restart mBlock for the upgrade to take effect.

3. Add the AI Camera 2.0 extension

Web version

  1. Add CyberPi from the device library.

2. Add the AI Camera 2.0 extension.

Click extension. And click Add in the AI Camera 2.0 card.

PC version

  1. Click extension.

2. On the Extension Center page, click Device Extensions (NOT Installed). 

3. Find AI Camera 2.0 and click Add.

4. Restart the mBlock software. Then you can use and update the AI Camera 2.0 extension from Installed extensions.

4. Start AI Camera 2.0

Open AI Camera 2.0. The device will take a moment to initialize and switch modes.

To ensure stable operation, the system automatically checks whether the current recognition mode is set to face recognition, and sends a switch command every second until the process is complete. Once ready, the indicator light changes color to confirm the system is prepared for recognition.
