The Tap Pen Controller Cannot be Paired With mTiny Successfully

This article applies to mTiny.

1. Issue Description

When trying to pair the tap pen with the mTiny, the indicator light stays in the blinking state but cannot pair successfully.

2. Possible Causes

  1. For some reason, the hardware recognition is slow, resulting in a low pairing success rate.
  2. There are multiple mTiny robots, and the tap pen has been successfully paired with other robot.
  3. The Tap pen or robot is faulty.

3. Troubleshooting Steps

  1. If there is only one mTiny robot and one tap pen controller, you can turn on the tap pen first, and then the robot. This order can increase the pairing success rate. (Usually many users are accustomed to turning on the mTiny first, and then the tap pen)
  2. If the tap pen controller has been successfully paired with one mTiny robot, you need to cancel the previous pairing before trying to pair with another robot. (Identify whether it is in the pairing state through the indicator light)
  3. To confirm if one component is internally faulty, if there are other mTiny robots or tap pen controllers, you can cross-test different tap pens and robots separately (e.g. pair this tap pen with another mTiny). If a component failure is confirmed, please contact the support team for follow-up solution.
