Extension—Music

With the Music extension, you can compose some beautiful music through programming.

Note: Music programming requires some basic musical knowledge.

Add the Music extension

1. Click the Sprites tab and click + extension at the bottom of the Blocks area.

2. On the Extension center page that appears, click + Add at the bottom of Music.

After being added, the extension and its blocks are displayed in the Blocks area.

Use the Music blocks

Music blocks are used to set instruments, notes, and tempos.

1. Drag the Music block set instrument to ( ) to the Scripts area and choose an instrument.

2. Drag the Music block play note ( ) for ( ) beats to the Scripts area and set the note.

Note: If you do not have any basic musical knowledge, ask for help from others, for example, your parents.

Through the above operations, you can follow the musical notation to compose a song you want.

The following figure shows a script example. Try to write the script, play the music, and tell what song it is.
